Firm's News & Events

Clarence Faikai

Clarence FaikaiAttorney Clarence Faikai obtained his BBA degree in Accounting and Management from the University of Liberia in 1986 and thereafter held several positions in the Accounting field; during the same years, he attended law school at the L.A. Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia.

Significantly, he was employed as Commissioner of Customs at the Ministry of Finance in 1996, the same year he graduated from law school. He continued his career at the Ministry of Finance until January 1997 when he was promoted to the position of Comptroller General of the Ministry of Finance, a position held up to July 1997, when the Liberian Government changed.

Attorney Faikai moved to the United States where he was employed in various positions and resumed his studies at the St. Mary's University of Minnesota, from which he obtained double master's degrees (the M.A. degree in International Business and the M.Sc. degree in Project Management) in March 2006.

Attorney Faikai returned to Liberia in November 2006; in 2007 he was employed at the Horton School of Business, University of Liberia as an Instructor - a position he still holds. In January 2010, he was employed as Staff Counsel at Sherman & Sherman.

In July/August 2011, Attorney Faikai will sit to the examinations for admission to the Supreme Court bar, after which he will be qualified as a Counsellor-At-Law, eligible to practice law before the Supreme Court, in addition to his current practice before the circuit courts and administrative agencies. Like other lawyers of his status, he represents clients at the circuit courts and administrative agencies, and assists with legal research and writing at Sherman & Sherman.
